One dozen YMCA staff members and their friends/families volunteered at the Lexington Humane Society on Friday, Septemeber 17. The volunteers helped with washing windows, bagging treats, sorting shirts (both human and dog), pulled weeds and made a few new friends (both human and animal). View Gallery

The 6th annual Tri-Y Kids Triathlon was held on Sunday, August 1 and drew 63 participants. The children, who ranged in age from 7-14, swam, biked and run at the Beaumont Y and around the Beaumont Centre circle. The championship game of the inaugural YMCA Tip-off to Madness Basketball Tournament presented by Toyota was held on March 3 at Rupp Arena. In a fitting ending to a great 16-team tournament, 4th Quarter defeated Southland 99-93 in double overtime. Former UK standouts Kenny "Sky" Walker and Dicky Lyons Jr. served as celebrity coaches. The players from the championship team received jerseys, a tour of the locker rooms and a DVD of the championship game. View Gallery
