2,500 Enjoy Healthy Family Fun at YMCA Healthy Kids Day Fun Fest

The annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day Fun Fest was definitely  bigger and better than ever this year. The move to UK's Nutter Field House provided a fantastic space for inflatables, relay races, sack races, golf, football,  soccer, baseball, basketball, gymnastics and more! This free, community-wide event was held on Sunday, April 25 from 2-5 p.m..

Healthy Kids Day is designed to help children and their families learn about the importance of physical activity and physical fitness. And it’s all free, courtesy of the YMCA of Central Kentucky with help from WLEX TV, Hot 102.5 FM, Tops in Lex, the University of Kentucky, Alpha Phi Omega, Bounce U and the Kentucky Army National Guard.

The YMCA also partnered with Lextran to provide shuttle service to the event, with pickups locations at William Wells Brown Elementary and Cardinal Valley Elementary.
