Licensed Early Childhood Center

The YMCA of Central KY offers a state licensed, developmentally appropriate Early Childhood Center that serves infants through children 5 years of age. The center operates Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  The Y’s early childhood center is designed to help children grow cognitively, emotionally, physically, socially and creatively. The activities in the classrooms support the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards as we strive to develop skills in the children that will prepare them for success in school.

Licensed School Age Child Care
The YMCA of Central Kentucky offers state-licensed before and after school child care, in several elementary and middle schools throughout Fayette, Jessamine and Scott counties. For rates in Fayette County, call 226-0393, Jessamine County call 885-5013, Scott County call 863-4841.

Summer Programming
Camp is more than just play time, it’s also a time to tackle summer learning loss. We keep young minds active by incorporating fun activities throughout the day that build upon the academic areas of science, literacy, arts & humanities, math and global competence.

All of our activities we do at camp are designed to help kids learn the developmentally appropriate way—creating, touching, exploring, questioning, moving, hearing, building… Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? Hey, maybe it really is play time after all.  And we think that’s how it should be.

Black Achievers
Black Achievers is the catalyst that provides exposure to present and future educational/career opportunities, instills positive social values, ignites students' thirst for knowledge, enables students to reach their full potential by creating opportunities for adults and the community to participate in their lives, and empowers families to assist students in reaching higher goals.
