Assisted By Campaign for Kids
The YMCA of Central Kentucky has exceeded its 2010 Campaign for Kids goal of $432,500 by raising $434,354 to date. Funds from the Campaign for Kids will be used to provide financial assistance to those who would otherwise be unable to afford YMCA summer camps. In 2009, the YMCA served 1,463 Central Kentucky children in summer camps, 67 percent of whom received financial assistance.
The YMCA raised funds for this year’s Campaign for Kids through donations from volunteers, staff, members, program participants and a variety of fundraising events, including two silent auctions.
The YMCA offers a variety of summer camps, including all-day camps and half-day camps, as well as camps focused on sports, arts and more. The YMCA of Central Kentucky is currently accepting summer camp registrations. A complete list of the camps available can be found
here
or by picking up a summer camp brochure at your local YMCA branch.
